Dear Epic Failure Blog,
For my son's banquet I am preparing chicken wings.

Before I started her son's chicken wings I made my husband, Fred, a lunch including pork chops. We had a nice meal together before I began making the chicken wings. However, after making the pork chops I forgot to clean off my work area. The counter was still dirty.

I however began cooking right away so the wings would be ready in time for the banquet. I prepared the meal on the counter top where I usually do my cooking. When I'm done I take out a sponge and quickly wipe off the counter top and throw the sponge back in the cabinet and rush to get the door as my son's guests are arriving. They enjoyed my chicken wings a lot. However, the next day several guests called me and said thanks for the good food and invite but they had gotten sick during the night with diarrhea, vomiting, and headaches.
Was it something I did at the banquet that made them sick?
Please Help

Dear SIckChicken,
The chicken wings sound good, however next time you make them you should be more careful to keep your work area clean while cooking. You forgot to wash your hands in between making your husband's lunch and your son's chicken wings. Also you should always wash your cooking area in between making two seperate dishes to prevent the spread of bacteria. And lastly you probably should have left more time to clean up at the end so you could have been more thorough. You forgot to rinse out the sponge after you wiped the counter, leaving it dirty for the next person to use it. Hopefully this is helpful for you the next time you cook for company.
SIncerely, Failure Blog
